Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to Sprig Scratchpad for macOS, created by Oliver Fitzgerald and provided as a commercial service. Sprig is intended for use as is.
Effective date: April 29, 2026
Information Collection and Use
Sprig does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your notes or personal information. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting.
Notes and Local Storage
Your notes are stored locally on your Mac using Apple system storage. Sprig does not upload your notes to Oliver Fitzgerald, OJF Labs, or any Sprig-operated server.
Network Access
Sprig does not make network requests in v0.1. The app does not sync, back up, or send your content over the internet.
Artificial Intelligence
Sprig does not use cloud AI or on-device AI features to process your data or provide app features.
Third-Party Access
Sprig does not provide your notes or personal information to third-party services. If you download Sprig through the Mac App Store, Apple may process purchase, download, device, diagnostic, or usage information under Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms.
Website
This website may be served by a hosting provider that processes standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, request URL, request time, and similar operational information for security and reliability.
Legal Disclosure
Information may be disclosed if required by law, subpoena, legal process, or a valid government request. Because Sprig does not collect your notes or personal information, there is no Sprig account data or uploaded note content to disclose.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop using Sprig at any time by deleting the app from your Mac. You can delete locally stored notes from within the app or by removing the app's local data from your Mac.
Data Retention
Sprig retains notes only on your Mac for as long as they remain stored there. Oliver Fitzgerald and OJF Labs do not retain a server-side copy of your notes.
Children
Sprig is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Sprig keeps data local to your Mac and relies on macOS protections, app sandboxing, and local device security. No method of storage is perfect, so you should protect your Mac with the security controls appropriate for your use.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Your Consent
By using Sprig, you consent to this Privacy Policy.
